Face Masks Block Emotional Signaling Between Students And Teachers, Students And Parents, Students And Students, And Between Students And All Other Humans
Reason #87 that Face Masks Hurt Kids
Dear Reader,
The wearing of a face mask to protect against a respiratory virus is an act of grand deceit. It is a behavior that defies research on the topic. Wearing a face mask, as this article (one of many) points to — is unsafe to do and is ineffective.
Until the narrative around mandatory masking has changed, each day by 6am Eastern, I will both post here and send out a science-based reason why no one should wear a face mask.
I ask that you help me circulate these pieces to those around you who you believe could most benefit from them. It is important not to remain silent on this topic. These are important discussions to be having with friends, family members, business owners, healthcare practitioners, public servants, and others in the community.

So much emotion is communicated through the face, and so much of the face is blocked by a face mask.
Denis Rancourt of the Ontario Civil Liberties Association writes:1
“In sum, recognition of, and response to, the outward emotional displays of one's peers’ faces is a critical and necessary component of social interaction in schools. It helps pupils and teachers to modify their behavior in order to align with social communication and behavioral norms. When these emotional displays are inhibited by face masks, our ability to communicate effectively with one another is reduced and we are primarily left with mimicking negative (frown) emotions. All of this happens primarily outside of conscious awareness, and hence, is hard to be consciously controlled or even corrected. Since emotions are a major driver of group cohesion, the decreased emotionality, and decreased positive emotionality in particular, may interfere with smooth classroom action. Given the fact that the very process of learning is facilitated by emotions (this is their main raison d´être), face masks are likely to cause some interference with pedagogy.”2
Given the harm done to a child by both the child wearing a mask and by others wearing a mask around that child, masks should not be worn by children or around children. Some would say it is a person’s option to wear a mask or not. That is an awful approach. No parent should tolerate that anti-social, harmful behavior around a child.
Parents protect their children from all manner of harm. That is just their duty and they willingly accept how to make that happen. Some parents sadly treat the harm of a face mask differently than other harms. Generally speaking though, parents who understand the harm that face masks cause a child do not need to be educated on how to stop that harm. They just figure out a way.
They figure out a way to keep this and all other age-inappropriate harm away from their child. That is part of being a parent.
Just like all other forms of sociopathy, there is no age at which the harm of wearing a face mask becomes age-appropriate.

The bestselling book "Face Masks In One Lesson" by Allan Stevo describes how to never wear a face mask again. The follow-up to the book, "Face Masks Hurt Kids," describes why to never wear a face mask again. We must defeat the awful, narrative around the mandates.
Examples of how face masks hurt kids will be posted to the Lockdown Land Substack each morning by 6am Eastern until the narrative around this ineffective and harmful medical intervention has shifted. Face masks are, in fact, not just harmful to children. Face masks are harmful to everyone. Thank you so much for helping me circulate this research.
