Dan Bongino fan proves my point
Don’t outsource your brain to the media, no matter how trustworthy the person is!

I'd like to hear you dispute any of Dan Bongino's podcasts.....

When I’m visiting with my aunt, I listen to Dan Bongino in the morning, because she listens to Dan Bongino in the morning.
I like the guy.
But truthfully, I like talking to my aunt way better.
I usually like conversation more than listening.
And I like building my own brain as well.
There’s a limit to how far your brain can grow if you are only regurgitating the media.
There are a lot of structures in place to stop you from really getting to the truly dangerous thoughts.
I want to get us to the truly dangerous thoughts.
The American colonists in 1760 were totally in favor of being subjects. By 1775, a mass of people were not interested in one of the sweetest deals around: being a subject of the most powerful government on the planet, with massive potential all around you.
It was objectively stupid of them in a lot of ways, but they were done. They wanted more freedom.
And in some ways the colonists ended up less free when they left Great Britain.
That’s all part of the story.
We are going to dig down with a truly great mind: the late, great Murray Rothbard. We will ask:
What did they do right?
What did they do wrong?
What could we do differently in our time?
It promises to be time well spent.
I want you to have better.

P.S. This reader added additional useful color (which shows that I was actually quite wrong, though he graciously withheld the opportunity to rub that in!)
“I am the guy who studies what Bongino and others on Rumble say. I also read several internet publications daily, including your emails which I also find valuable.
“Just for the record, I don't listen to Bongino or Rumble every day but when I do I find Bongino uses unbiased facts to make his case. These are facts I have looked into myself.....trust but verify as Reagan opined. What is most important for me is the truth so I tend to favor articles that have footnotes and Iean towards commentators like Bongino that back up their claims with facts.
“I get the ‘echo chamber’ reference and I've argued with many classmates and friends who epitomize the parrot syndrome. I am not of that flock. I think you overstated my "reliance" on Bongino but I'll still do as you ask and shy away for a month. I have begun reading Conceived in Liberty which incidentally I found in one of your emails. I'm just 30 pages in but if the preface is a good indicator of the text, I look forward to reading it.”
