His income grew by three times that year
A relative of mine went from working 5-day, 6-day, and 7-day weeks, to doing something very different.
He began limiting himself to just 3 days of work a week.
His work schedule halved, but his income far outpaced all previous years.
Though he was working far less, his effectiveness for his clients increased and his satisfaction with his work also increased.
The boundaries between work and life make each more wonderful. If given your whole life, your work — or any other activity — will gladly gobble up your whole life.
Do you squeeze as much work as you can out of a week?
Or do you make time for simply being instead of always doing?
The two perspectives are very different perspectives. One involves boundaries placed by you. The other is you allowing the boundaries of your life to be placed by some external factor.
That is never a responsible approach. The most fundamental work of an adult is to identify one’s boundaries, communicate one’s boundaries, and to defend one’s boundaries.
I have a few ways that I draw boundaries between my life and my work. One way is by having a sabbath day.
Sundays are my protected time to not work. Instead of that, this past week, I inadvertently scheduled the final day of “The Converts” launch for Sunday — which definitely would require me working.
That was pretty silly of me.
The Converts is an online community for those who vow to never take the shot and who vow to never wear a face mask.
It is open to anyone interested in taking that vow. It is even open to those who previously have taken the shot, and who now recognize the evil of doing so.
The Converts is an important idea that I have not given much attention to the past few days, effectively not doing the idea justice.
I’m going to do it justice between now and Wednesday night, with a few extra emails and a few extra readers’ questions answered.
If you are on the fence, shoot me an email. Let me know what’s on your mind.
I am extending that launch until Wednesday night, and then the doors close for the foreseeable future.
Right now you can get a paid monthly membership, or you can get a one-time, unlimited membership. After this launch, there will no longer be one-time, unlimited memberships offered. Now is the time to get that.
Now is also the time to make a clear statement of your boundaries about what you will allow in your life going forward and what you will never again allow a place in your life. Joining the converts is a decisive way to do exactly that and to surround yourself with others who want the same.
