The Case For Impeaching Ketanji Brown Jackson
This piece first appeared at American Greatness on April 3, 2022.
Around the Ides of March 2020, the United States entered into a period known as corona communism. From church closures to the wide-scale elimination of property rights, the communist onslaught was allowed on these hallowed shores by simply claiming to be in the benefit of public health. A particularly troubling detail over the past two years is how children have been taken advantage of, harmed, and relegated even further to an inferior status in society, almost to a sub-human status.
Recognizing this, so much of my work over the past two years has focussed on face masks and the harm they do to children. I demonstrate this harm to children with some 800 scientific journal references in my book Face Masks Hurt Kids.
As one California school board member recently put it, while voting to violate the health diktats of Gov. Gavin Newsom: “Face masks are child abuse.”
The same can be said about divorce prevalence, teacher-student sexual abuse rates in schools, missing and abducted children, and sex trafficking. Society hardly operates in the interest of children. It often puts the best interest of children last.
With this concern on my mind, I watched the horrifying nomination Ketanji Jackson testimony. This past week, it became known that she has spent a significant portion of her federal career apologizing for pedophiles and those who traffic images of the rape of children. More than just apologizing, Jackson has helped move aside the judicial system for perpetrators to go on to more easily commit the same crimes again.
Why is there no accountability for judges like this? Where is the justice for the victims? Decent members of society recognize that pedophilia is a problem, but Jackson being allowed to continue as a federal judge begs the question — Who will protect society from the judges?
This time can be different.
There is likely far more to Jackson’s troubling record. However, Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Dick Durbin (D-IL) refuses to release Jackson’s complete judicial records. Obfuscatingly, the Jackson nomination is being hurried to an April 4 vote before the Easter holiday. What could the rush possibly be? A circumspect mind discourages such rushing, especially when done by government. As if it were not disgusting enough that a judge like this exists on the federal bench, Americans are getting a Resurrection Sunday present of this judge being ushered into a lifetime Supreme Court appointment with bipartisan support.
That is what Washington, D.C. thinks about your values, America.
Republicans need to slow this down and let Americans recognize that Joe Biden is curiously trying to put forth a pedophile-enabling judge for a lifetime appointment to the highest court of the land.
From 2020 onward, the Jeffrey Epstein debacle and death inspired many whispers. Epstein’s friendships have been covered up and to date have not been given the attention they deserve. Anyone who cared about that topic, then, should be adamantly opposed to a pedophile-enabling federal judge like Jackson having any role in government, let alone on the Supreme Court.
We can not change the past. Now is the time to have an impact and shape the future.
Not only should Jackson not be a member of the Supreme Court, as soon as the Republicans return to power, Jackson must be successfully impeached and not allowed on the federal bench again. The Republicans have it in their power to do both.
Writing for The Federalist (https://thefederalist.com/2022/03/08/republicans-are-successfully-blocking-biden-nominees-and-his-scotus-nominee-could-be-next/), Rachel Bovard, cites a technique that has been used effectively by legislative impresarios such as Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) and Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA) to block passage through committee of seemingly impossible to block bills and nominees. Senate Rule 26 gives veto power of practically anything to the minority. The catch is this — it only works when the Senate is in a 50-50 tie, as is now the case. The Republicans can simply refuse to provide a quorum in the committee for the Jackson vote, permanently stalling the vote and ending her nomination. Using Senate Rule 26, THE GOP CAN STOP THE PEDOPHILE JUDGE.
The only question then is whether there is the will for this from the same milquetoast GOP who let this pedophile-friendly judge on the bench to begin with. It is amazing how calling your Senator and other swing-vote senators such as (Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Susan Collins (R-ME), Mitt Romney (R-UT), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Roy Blunt (R-MO), Rob Portman (R-OH), Richard Burr (R-NC), Joe Manchin (D-WV), Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) (https://www.politico.com/news/2022/03/24/kentanji-brown-jackson-confirmation-swing-votes-senate-00018883) ) can help them find the will.
At the same time, impeachment of Jackson as a federal judge must be drawn up and brought before the committee this week. Someone who covers for sex crimes against minors has no place in the federal judiciary, not even for one more day. The Democrats need to know that they will not be allowed to squeeze through a nominee like this again, and if they do, then that person’s position as a judge should be considered at stake.
That Jackson was previously confirmed by the Senate as a federal judge with some Republican support shows nothing more than how terribly complicit Republicans have been in this war being fought against children. That needs to stop now. How many other pedophile judges have been allowed onto the federal judiciary because Republicans were asleep on the job? That number is currently unknown, which is in itself a problem. That Jackson was allowed to serve unchallenged, of all places, in the influential Washington, D.C. district court and appellate court is an additional problem.
Judges with reprobate and harmful behavior like Jackson need investigating and need to be removed from the job as trusted public servants. Senators have an important constitutional obligation of oversight over the judiciary. If the Republicans in office do not have the heart or the time to remove pedophile judges, they need to step down and allow someone more capable to do that work in their place.
Our children do not need lip service. They need action.
