The cure for Telegram anxiety
When I host an in-person political organizing meeting, participants are asked to only share comments that are
1.) encouraging and
2.) direct examples from the speaker’s life.
Those two goals totally change the tone of the meeting.
I do not need to hear narratives from Fox or The New York Times shared during those meetings, nor does anyone else there. There are simply better things to do with likeminded warriors at a meeting. I would also argue that there are better things to do when gathering with likeminded warriors online.
The other 22-and-a-half hours of the day are filled with that fear porn for many meeting attendees. My 90-minute meetings are devoid of that. In fact, most of my 24 hours are intentionally devoid of that.
Fear porn is good for waking someone up to the reality of the world around them, but after that, fear porn loses nearly all value to the person seeking to make real change.
In fact, in the psychological war we are engaged in, fear porn often is the equivalent of shooting artillery at your friends on behalf of the enemy.
It is great at depressing and distracting. That is true, no matter how well-intentioned it is.
I can’t have that in my meetings.
My meetings are intentionally a sanctuary from that.
On Telegram, you will often find people either
1.) without much meaning in life OR
2.) distracted from their meaning in life, and who are consequently
3.) posting depressing links.
As a result, nearly all Telegram channels have turned to crap.
And Signal channels.
And Facebook groups, and many other online gathering places.
That is not the kind of group I run. After joining as a founding member, you will soon have access to the group's chat. It won’t be depressing and all over the place. It will be focussed and encouraging. Sorting out that software is one of the first priorities on the road map ahead.
A benefit to paying to get in, is that you will not have the distracted folks from Telegram hijacking the group, because many can not fathom why anyone would pay money to learn to more effectively take authority over the world around them.
That’s okay. Let them wallow in misery in their Telegram groups. I’ve got something better for you.
Stick with me on this journey and eventually, they will be posting about you as the local hero in the Telegram group.
Eventually, they will be teaching their kids to be more effective and more like you.
They might even come around to the idea of paying for something better.
And if you are a distracted person who has read this deep into the email - who has perhaps not even done a single thing that works to date - then I even encourage you to join this group as well.
And there is a good reason to do that, even if accountability is not your highest priority.
Being in this group, and giving it five hours a week of effort, will teach you skills to combat the distraction and will make the rest of your activity in life more effective.
You will be training alongside true warriors and will be engaged in what honest historians will come to recognize as some of the most important combat to have come from this year.
But be warned, if you think you are going to bring the same depressing nonsense into the membership group, then you are so wrong.
The warriors that train under me and walk alongside me deserve better.
And they will get better.
Anyone who wants better and who agrees to give their fellow warriors better is invited to come along for this journey. For a one time cost of only $500, you can have an unlimited supply of high quality training and individualized personal attention. There are three other membership tiers as well. It will not be cheap, but it will be good, and after Tuesday night, the class will be more expensive.
