Praying For A National Day Of Fasting And Prayer

Father, thank You for the time and place in which I live. Father, thank You that I have been able to grow up in this Christian land. Father, thank You thank I have been able to grow up in such a prosperous place. Father, thank You that I have been able to grow up in a land dedicated to You from the time of its founding. Father, please protect us from the decay that prosperity has brought upon many lands, protect us from the decay of decadence. Help this land grow even more devoutly turned toward You, even as we live in the midst of prosperity. Let us not pervert Your blessing by turning it into our ruin. Father, let us know how to humble ourselves properly before You.

Father, if this is a good and true word that I have here written, I ask that this make it to the desk of President Trump and move his heart, Father. I ask that a National Day of Fasting and Prayer come. I ask that Your people in America and on this entire earth humble ourselves before You that day, and that we all repent and turn from our wicked ways. Father, I pray that we stay humble toward You, not just during the time of fasting and prayer, but through every remaining day of our walk through this life. Father, I pray that all the land be healed. I ask that every knee bow to You that same day, Father.

Father, we have gone astray. We have lost our way. Guide us back to You, Lord. Guide us to renewed dedication to You, Lord. Guide us back to the things that made this land great. Guide us back not only to the ephemeral greatness of this life, but let America be a city on a hill, a nation of people walking in your will, shining your light through the world. Let that be America’s greatest role, Father, one in which Your light is shone everywhere by this land and this people and their government. Let us be an example of Your natural law, an example of Your order in the world, an example of Your freedoms that You give to Your creation, and through it all may we not be distracted from You in the slightest.

Lord, show us how to build an even greater foundation than America has ever had. Lord, show us how to build a foundation even more focused on You. Lord, show us how to build a foundation for a land even greater than what America has been, a land even greater than anything that any of us can imagine. Through it all, let us stay turned to You, Lord. Let us have the courage to do the things that You show us are right.

Lord, I ask that everyone who reads this, makes fasting and prayer a part of their walk with You. I ask that if they do not already know You, that they come to know You, and that everyone reading this make You Lord of their life. I ask that everyone reading this know what it is like to seek You, to repent, and to obey. And of those who know You, Lord, please draw each one of us closer, deeper, more intimate in our relationship with You. Let us not turn from You, afraid of the closeness, but let us be in awe, eager to do Your will.

Lord, let every waking breath of every man, woman, and child on this land be foremost about You, Father. As we walk through life, let each one of us know Your presence and feel Your presence and bow to Your presence. Father, thank you for the blessing You are in each one of our lives. Thank you for the Messiah who You sent to save us. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
