You Raise A Tyrant, A Slave, Or Both, Rather Than A Healthy And Fully Capable Adult
Reason #23 that Face Masks Hurt Kids
Dear Reader,
The wearing of a face mask to protect against a respiratory virus is an act of grand deceit. It is a behavior that defies research on the topic. Wearing a face mask, as this article (one of many) points to — is unsafe to do and is ineffective.
Until the narrative around mandatory masking has changed, each day by 6am Eastern, I will both post here and send out a science-based reason why no one should wear a face mask.
I ask that you help me circulate these pieces to those around you who you believe could most benefit from them. It is important not to remain silent on this topic. These are important discussions to be having with friends, family members, business owners, healthcare practitioners, public servants, and others in the community.

By putting a child in a face mask against his will, you teach a child that individual wants do not matter.
You teach a child specifically that his individual wants do not matter, and you teach a child by extrapolation that the individual wants of others do not matter as well.
Some parents have never forced a child into a car seat. A parent can be a pushover in such a scenario, or a parent can do the hard work of learning to communicate with a child at a young age, work that bears fruit quickly.
This becomes evident when an 18-month-old is able to do better with conversation and negotiation, though largely pre-verbal, than the far-more-developed, though in some ways less emotionally mature, 18-year-old, whose parents have put little effort into this topic.
It shows when a parent has wasted eighteen years with a child, and it also shows when a parent has made the most of eighteen months.
Children raised to communicate rather than to rely on force, learn communication and trust from a very young age.
How do children learn to rely on force? By watching their role models, who are often their parents.
Other children spend an entire childhood being forced into car seats, literal and proverbial. And their adulthoods look a lot like that too: either they spend a lot of time forcing others into car seats or they spend a lot of time being forced into car seats. Maybe both.
While you may offer many words that teach morality opposite to this and a higher morality than this, it is with your actions that you truly communicate your morality to your child. Actions outweigh all words.
The bullying begets bullying. You teach a child who you refuse to communicate with how to obey, but you deny that child the opportunity to learn the peaceful interaction of grown adults.
You teach a child that might makes right.
If that is the basic moral system you instill in a child, you teach him to be a controlling tyrant, you teach him to be an obedient slave, and you likely teach him to alternate between the two based on environment, but you do not teach him how to be a thinking, unique, mature individual.
You let him out into the world without that skill set, a skill set the world has little incentive to teach your then grown child.
Such evil you do to a child when you force a mask upon him against his will, but that is hardly the greatest problem in your relationship.
If you will force a mask on your child against his will, you have much bigger problems, both as a parent and as a person.
May all that you have sown into the fertile ground of your child come back to you many times over. I pray that you have sown blessings and not curses into that fertile ground.
The bestselling book "Face Masks In One Lesson" by Allan Stevo describes how to never wear a face mask again. The follow-up to the book, "Face Masks Hurt Kids," describes why to never wear a face mask again. We must defeat the awful, narrative around the mandates.
Examples of how face masks hurt kids will be posted to the Lockdown Land Substack each morning by 6am Eastern until the narrative around this ineffective and harmful medical intervention has shifted. Face masks are, in fact, not just harmful to children. Face masks are harmful to everyone. Thank you so much for helping me circulate this research.
