Face Masks Are Breeding Grounds For Bacteria In A Way Our Unmasked Faces Are Not
Reason #68 that Face Masks Hurt Kids
Dear Reader,
The wearing of a face mask to protect against a respiratory virus is an act of grand deceit. It is a behavior that defies research on the topic. Wearing a face mask, as this article (one of many) points to — is unsafe to do and is ineffective.
Until the narrative around mandatory masking has changed, each day by 6am Eastern, I will both post here and send out a science-based reason why no one should wear a face mask.
I ask that you help me circulate these pieces to those around you who you believe could most benefit from them. It is important not to remain silent on this topic. These are important discussions to be having with friends, family members, business owners, healthcare practitioners, public servants, and others in the community.

The skin is covered in bacteria. The face is covered in bacteria. The respiratory system is full of bacteria. The body generally manages that fine. It is all very normal and healthy. The bacteria is not the problem. Introduce a mask, though, and it forms a breeding ground for bacteria that we pass air through. Our bodies, then, have an unfamiliar bacterial burden to deal with and have no defenses on the face mask with which to deal with them.
If I handed you a petri dish of lab grown bacteria that is known to be harmful to humans, would you walk around with it in front of your face all day? Of course not. Would you smear it on a face mask each morning and breathe through that face mask, filling your lungs with those pathogens? Of course not.
Yet that is what we do while wearing a face mask. Boris Borovoy et al. write in “Microbial challenges from masks:”1
“Bacteria are on average ten times the size of viruses, particularly coronaviruses, and have less penetration through masks.2 Therefore, at least part of the re-circulated flow of bacteria in aerosolized and droplet exhalation does not escape the vicinity of the oral and nasal environment. Bacteria and other microbes are not only retained in this space, but masks themselves are warm, moist repositories of these microbes.
“Laboratory testing of used masks from 20 train commuters revealed that 11 of the 20 masks tested contained over 100,000 bacterial colonies. Molds and yeasts were also found. Three of the masks contained more than one million bacterial colonies.3 Because such particles have been cultured from masks, they are expected to remain fully available to the airways while a mask is worn.”
“Fully available to the airways,” means while wearing a face mask, you are constantly reintroducing harmful bacteria into your body that your body does not want or know how to handle. Borovoy continues:
“The outside surfaces of surgical masks were found to have high levels of the following microbes, even in hospitals, more concentrated on the outside of masks than in the environment.4 Staphylococcus species (57%) and Pseudomonas species (38%) were predominant among bacteria, and Penicillium species (39%) and Aspergillus species. (31%) were the predominant fungi. These correlated with the same bacteria and fungi found in samples of the ambient air where the masks were worn.”5
Exhaling aerosolized bacteria in normal conditions tends to disable them quickly because their aerosol carrier dries up. In the damp environment of a mask, however, that does not happen. Borovoy continues:
“The mechanism of pathology originating from masks is likely as follows: Microbe-carrying droplets, trapped in masks, stay damp while the mask is worn, whereas without a mask, exhaled droplets and aerosol are known to dry quickly. In the continually damp environment of the mask, bacteria start to proliferate, are re-inhaled and then transferred throughout the body, as discussed below.”
Masks are breeding grounds for bacteria in a way our unmasked faces are not. Do not wear them. Stop immediately. Definitely do not let your child wear them.

The bestselling book "Face Masks In One Lesson" by Allan Stevo describes how to never wear a face mask again. The follow-up to the book, "Face Masks Hurt Kids," describes why to never wear a face mask again. We must defeat the awful, narrative around the mandates.
Examples of how face masks hurt kids will be posted to the Lockdown Land Substack each morning by 6am Eastern until the narrative around this ineffective and harmful medical intervention has shifted. Face masks are, in fact, not just harmful to children. Face masks are harmful to everyone. Thank you so much for helping me circulate this research.
