I agree with the tone of this article. However, within the example of the history of education in this country... I have seen different patterns play out. It's happened many times that lions have woken up the local schools or departments of edu, even once the entire CA Board of Edu was awake and ready to create a school system dedicated to human development... Yet all of those decades of efforts were actually useless in the end. One swift change, one law: nclb, destroyed every bit of effort hundreds of thousands of smaller school board members had achieved over decades.
So, I've witnessed the exact opposite.
Had the pilot programs been shoved in the faces of the federal board instead of only CA, the entire country could've been saved. In the end it's still only a handful of board members who decide the fate of a nation.
Had all those motivated individuals, instead focused their efforts on the Federal level, "pie in the sky" as you call it... We wouldn't have witnessed the END of public education in America.
Fast forward to SB-44 the early vaccine mandates... So much motivation to reach friends and family through grass root efforts...
And here we are.
This is the result. A complete failure in every way!
I'd explained exactly why EVERYONE would be facing an adult mandatory vaccine schedule, if SB-44 passed. Yet the motivated groups I knew of, rejected the idea that we needed to reach the masses, especially those who say, "this doesn't concern me, as I don't have (young) children". It was clear to researchers, SB-44 was a national of not global crisis. Few outside of some CA parents even knew it was up for vote.
But the majority of the motivated, were thinking smaller scale, more personal grass root efforts was the best way to make a difference.
They were all sorely mistaken.
I guess I've inherited the position of being the large assembly, forum, world summit, etc. speaker who's presentation's summary is the opposite of the agreed narrative; yet is irrefutable based on factual evidence and data.
So it's been my family's job to awaken the masses.
Swaying thousands of individuals over coffee, will take more than a few lifetimes... We're long out of time for all that.
From what I've witnessed, everyone motivated to make changes should aim for the largest impact, most # of people reached, and the highest levels of authorities.
Keep in mind, seatbelt, helmet, etc. laws all started in the CA youth and gov programs, as student exercises in making judicial proposals... Many national laws and policies were written by children in these small scale programs, and yet reached the level of federal judicial realities.
